Privacy policy

This covers TODO_LEGAL_ENTITY, trading as Equity Real Estate, at Boulevard Plaza, Tower 2, Dubai. Where it says "we" below, that is who is meant.

The enquiry form asks for your name, an email address and a message. A phone number and a subject are optional. We record the time you sent it along with the rest.

That is everything this site asks you for. Beyond it, every page carries Google Analytics, which tells Google that a visit happened: which pages were opened and in what order, roughly where in the world the request came from, and which browser and device asked. It is not told your name, and no page carries an advertising pixel. The typefaces are served from this domain rather than fetched from Google, so the fonts report nothing.

Separately, our host keeps ordinary server logs: the IP address a request came from, which page it asked for, when, and which browser asked. TODO_HOSTING_PROVIDER holds those. They exist so the site can be kept running and so abuse can be traced back.

We read your enquiry and we answer it. That is the whole purpose.

We do not sell your details. Sending an enquiry does not put you on a mailing list, and we will not add you to one without asking first.

An enquiry is delivered to TODO_ENQUIRY_DESTINATION, which is where we work through them. TODO_HOSTING_PROVIDER runs the servers the site sits on and so handles the data in transit. Nobody else receives your enquiry, and we pass it to no one for their own marketing.

Google receives the usage data described above, as the analytics provider. That is separate from your enquiry: what you type into the form never reaches it.

Google Analytics sets its own cookies, which is how it tells a returning visit from a new one. They are the only cookies this site sets, they are not used for advertising, and nothing else is stored on your device. Blocking cookies for this domain, or any browser setting that blocks trackers, stops the analytics and leaves the site working exactly as before.

We hold an enquiry and the correspondence that follows it for TODO_RETENTION_PERIOD after we last spoke, then delete it. Server logs are kept by our host for TODO_LOG_RETENTION.

Ask us to delete your enquiry sooner and we will, unless we are required to keep it in connection with a transaction we are party to.

You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or tell us to stop using it. Email hello@equitydxb.com and we will answer within 30 days.

The UAE Personal Data Protection Law gives you those rights here, and you can complain to the UAE Data Office if our answer does not satisfy you. If you are in the UK or the EU, the GDPR may apply to you as well, and you can complain to your own supervisory authority instead. Where the enquiry form needs a lawful basis, it is your consent, and you can withdraw it at any time.

The site is served over HTTPS, so what you type into the form is encrypted between your browser and us. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your data we will tell you and the relevant regulator.

The date above is the date this page last changed. Earlier versions are not published here, so if you want a copy of the one that applied when you wrote to us, ask and we will send it.
